We were pleasantly surprised that the major recabling work we had completed recently was finished in a mere 3 days!
Lewis and the team from “Rope & Tackle” did a great job. Rope & Tackle work on cranes, lifeboats on cruise liners, ferries, lifts and railways like ours and their expertise was immediately evident from the moment they arrived at the Babbacombe Cliff Railway on their first day.
The recabling involved the removal of existing cables and the attachment of 2500 metres of 19mm cable and 250 metres of 9.55mm cable, complete with new anchor bolts fitted to each car.
